Congrats on the start of your ride and your cause.
Hi Sky,
Your coworker Diane emailed our cycling club a little while ago, sorry not to get back to you sooner.
I hope your trip is going well, your website looks great.
There are lots of activities going on in the Sault next weekend (July 18/19) that might be of interest to you. Friday night at Great Northern Resort and Conference Centre (on Great Northern Rd) is a mountain biker party with film release and some food and beverages coincident with pre-race registration for an 8 hour mtn bike relay race that begins at Hiawatha Highlands at 11am on Saturday. We’re hoping to get out most of the Sault’s bike enthusiasts out to both these things, which are fundraisers for the Algoma Trail Crew and cystic fibrosis. There’s more info available at http://www.superiorsingletrack.com.
Also in town this weekend is the Sault’s big summer festival, Rotaryfest. After the 8 hour race, we’ll be directing people downtown to Queen St. where Cowboy Junkies will be playing an outdoor free concert at 9pm.
Anyway, please email me if you’re interested in these things, I’ve also got some tips on route info for when you get closer to the Sault.
Ride safe!

Sky,
I certainly enjoyed meeting you yesterday and hearing about your trip. Your website helps to give me a sense of what it is like “on the road”. I heard your interview on the radio this morning. Clayton is a character when he gets going and it is wonderful to see him healthy and enjoying life. His mom is a very special person too! You have taken on quite a challenge in this project and I have no doubt that you will achieve both you personal and financial goals. Take care , enjoy the ride!
Sincerely
Cathy Ross
It was great meeting both of you at supper in Quebec City. We have been monitoring your progress and continue to admire your courage, dedication and passion for this great cause. It’s unfortunate that you encountered such foul weather leaving Quebec but your obvious high spirts and determiniation once again prevailed.
Continued sucess and congradulations on accomplishing your goal.

I was wondering if you are ending your journey to St.John’s Newfoundland at City Hall or Cape Spear?
I have a special interest in this .I understand you have met my cousin Clayton in Huntsville Ontario,he is quite the trooper .
As you know Clayton is the Great Grandson of the Late Joan(Cantwell)Ivany who once lived in the lighthouse at Cape Spear as did my Father many years ago.
If you are going to end at the Cape I hope to meet you there .
Hope you have some good weather for the last leg of your journey.
Good Luck
